The kitchen. Where co-workers gather, connect, debrief, etc. It was important for this space to feel lively, fun, and energizing. Homey, and faintly familiar. Beloved artists like Maxine McCrann (born and raised around the corner from the office), Michael McGregor, and Hayley Axelrad make the space feel eclectic and slightly playful. A space you keep coming back to for reasons other than a well-stocked snack drawer.

Olga Karika’s medium-of-choice is oil on metal to explore the intersection of material, perception, and memory. In leaving parts of the metal untouched, Olga allows each work to remain open to its surroundings. Light moves across the exposed surface, reflections shift with the viewer, and the image changes depending on the space and moment in which it is seen.

A closer peek at the details and depth of the latest series by Brooklyn-based artist Margot Sinclair. Working with graphite, oil, thread, and acrylic, each piece has an interplay of textures and silhouettes reminiscent of architectural drawings or abstract maps. A series of conversation pieces were commissioned for ShopMy’s primary boardroom, each with a meaningful connection to the company’s story.

First: a large-scale mixed-media work by Alastair Martin, featuring florals rendered in a palette inspired by the Boston mayflower — the state flower of Massachusetts, where ShopMy’s three co-founders first met. In dialogue with the work, four site-specific pieces by Boston-based artist Miguel Caba sit on the opposing wall. For the series, Miguel photographed botanicals native to Boston and translated the imagery onto three-dimensional wooden wall reliefs.

Together, the works reflect ShopMy’s distinct identity. Not overly literal or quintessentially corporate in any way, but rather said with a slight nod to the brand’s origin story as they continue to grow.

Created exclusively for the ShopMy HQ, this large-scale work is rendered in Hayley Axelrad’s signature playful style. Complete with details that encourage a closer look, from subtle easter eggs to the three founders themselves woven right into the scene.

Anchoring the office’s kitchen space as a place where the team will gather, connect, and take a moment away from their desks. Life imitates art.

Welcome to ShopMy HQ. To begin — a custom site-specific wall sculpture by coveted Amsterdam-based artist Eline Baas. Crafted from wood and wax, the large-scale sculptural moment nods to the various natural materials featured throughout the office, serving as a subtle statement right upon entry.

Introducing Laurie Boudreault — a Canadian artist whose expression-led abstract figuration explores the complexity of human emotion. Her choice of materials reflects the freedom of sketches and childhood; moments created without the pressure of a predetermined outcome. Her practice reflects an ongoing curiosity about acceptance, motherhood, and the small moments that shape our sense of self. Painting between the tides and rainforest of Tofino, she creates work that expresses what words cannot.
