Over the summer, the NRHS Art Program partnered with the Museum of Industry to present "Good to the Core: An Exploration of NRHS Art from 2003 to 2026". The show, which features artwork from NRHS students, alumni, and art teachers, was recently profiled by The News and it remains on display for just a few more weeks.

What can the stars tell us about winter? ✨
Our BRAND-NEW school program, Winter Times, invites students in Grades 3–6 to explore the season of starlight, cold and snow through Mi’kmaw culture, stories and hands-on activities.
Students will discover how the stars help us understand the changing seasons, explore artifacts connected to winter travel, and learn about winter customs and traditions.
They’ll also create a special printed card representing the importance of light during the darkest time of the year.
A winter adventure filled with stories, discovery, making, and learning awaits!

Treaty Day marks the beginning of Mi'kmaw History Month in Nova Scotia.

The goal of the month is to help Nova Scotians build awareness of Mi’kmaw history and heritage, and to increase understanding of the province’s rich Mi’kmaw culture.
