We’re one step closer to opening!

Our faux white marble floor is getting its final epoxy finish, thanks to our partnership with Magic Resin, a proudly Canadian company and a valued sponsor of The Hidden Gallery.

This floor will soon welcome countless exhibitions, live performances, workshops, special events, and community gatherings. We’re incredibly grateful to Magic Resin for partnering with us and helping bring our vision to life.

Painting Pictou by the Waterfront

We’re set up today at the beautiful Marina Bar & Grill on the waterfront, taking part in the Pictou Art Society’s annual Paint Pictou Plein Air event!

There’s something pretty special about watching an artist capture a place right where the inspiration lives.

Today, Colin Cook of Abstractions by Colin Cook is putting brush to canvas and painting one of Pictou’s most iconic symbols, the Ship Hector.

With the chatter from the bustling restaurant behind us, the Hector in view, and the sounds of the waterfront all around, it’s the perfect setting for a day of plein air painting.

Come down, say hello, meet the artists, enjoy the waterfront, and watch Colin bring the Hector to life on canvas.

We’re proud to be here representing The Hidden Gallery and celebrating the incredible artistic community right here in Pictou County.

Tomorrow, our resident artist Abstractions by Colin Cook will be painting a masterpiece live outside the Marina Bar & Grill in participation of the Paint Pictou Plein Air event, hosted by the Pictou Arts Society. Stop by, take a photo with the artist, and enjoy a beautiful day on the waterfront with some of the county’s most talented artists.

ART SALE AT THE HIDDEN GALLERY THIS SATURDAY

In honour of the Annual Westville Yard Sale, we’re inviting you to stop by The Hidden Gallery property this Saturday for a special outdoor art sale.

We’ll have a selection of original fine art and prints from the studio of our resident artist, Abstractions by Colin Cook, as well as other magnificent artists!

We will also have other goods for sale... a little (or big) something for everyone!

Colin will be spending the day reviving three concrete statues for a local Westville resident, so come by, meet the artist, see him at work, and browse some original artwork.

While the gallery itself is not yet open to the public, we are getting very close. We have just a few final items to complete before our inspection and occupancy permit.

We’re working hard to bring Westville its very first art gallery, and we’re excited to share a little glimpse of what’s to come.

*We are accepting donations and in-kind contributions for the gallery (furniture, bar & kitchen appliances, antique and modern frames and artwork, etc.)
