The Craft Council of Newfoundland and Labrador currently has two opportunities to join our team.

Storyteller & Content Creator
We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented person to help tell the stories of craft, craftspeople and our community through social media, photography, reels and design. This is a full-time contract through the holiday season, with a focus on our Christmas Craft Fair and Value Handmade for the Holidays campaign.

Program Coordinator – Seniors Outreach
The CCNL Clay Studio is looking for an organized, community-minded person to coordinate clay programming for seniors in St. John’s and surrounding communities. This is a temporary, part-time role running from October through March.

We're pleased to welcome local artist Daze Jefferies to the Craft Council Gallery this September!

Daze (she/her) is a white settler artist, writer, and educator. Her multidisciplinary projects exploring q***r, trans, and s*x worker counter-histories have been exhibited and performed at The Rooms, Eastern Edge, Grenfell Art Gallery, and Union House Arts. She is the recipient of the 2023 Emerging Artist Award and 2025 Milestone Award from VANL-CARFAC. She is also the author of 'oceanleaving' (2026).

We invite you to experience 'holdable shadow, erodible caress' - Daze's latest work exhibited at the Craft Council Gallery - where 'A love for rural and sea-touched foremothers is embodied in textile, sculptural, and media works.'

Join us Saturday, September 12th for an exciting opening event and chance to meet the artist!

The Craft Council Gallery invites artists, groups of
artists, and curators to submit proposals for exhibitions
at our 155 Water St. location between January 2027
and March 2028. We encourage local, interprovincial,
and international submissions that demonstrate
profound artistic vision, outstanding visitor experience,
and excellence in fine craft.

We are hitting the road to the Bonavista Peninsula and Clarenville!

As part of our ongoing journey to connect face-to-face with craftspeople across the province, we’re continuing our road trip to meet our makers right where they are.

Over the next few days, we’ll be exploring the Bonavista Peninsula before heading to Clarenville for the Clarenville Regional Fibre Festival. While in the area we will be visiting our members, popping into studios and spaces, and connecting with new members of the craft community.
