Our dear Bonnie has left us. She was a passionate supporter of the arts and artists. A fashion icon. A tireless worker. To us she will be remembered for being a loving friend. To her family a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. We will continue to look at her art and see the wonder with which see saw the world. In our minds we will forever remember her warm smile. Thank you Bonnie, for everything.

“Portrait with Scissors” is a compelling piece by Lu Sakhno. The combination of the neoclassical portrait with the flat, pop art inspired background lends a fragmentary feel to the piece, drawing the viewer into the narrative. Available in our summer exhibition.

New arrival from Lori Deeley. This beautiful watercolour is titled “Coastal Colour” and evokes a vibrant summer day in a small cove. Available now in our ongoing summer exhibition.

New from Jack Botsford in our summer exhibition. “Athenry” is a drypoint print in an edition of 6. Drypoint is a printmaking technique where the image is scratched directly into a metal plate. The direct scratch produces an engraved line, and also a small burr of displaced metal. When the plate is inked and printed the burr holds ink and gives the characteristic soft fuzzy quality to the line. We are proud to support original printmaking at the gallery, and are always up to explaining the various print techniques on display.

New arrival from Nicholas Aiden. Exploring tradition and identity, “Self Portrait as a Dish Rag” presents a photographic intertwining of complex concepts. This photograph is 31” x 31” framed and available in our summer exhibition.

Brand new from John MacCallum. “Spring at Rennie’s River” is a bold and expressive 18” x 24” oil on canvas. Part of John’s ongoing work of painting along the city’s river throughout the seasons. Available now in our summer group exhibition.

This beautiful hooked rug by Anastasia Tiller is currently available in our summer group exhibition “Flora and Fauna”. The exhibition runs all summer long but don’t wait too long to nab this great piece.
