Kronau Heritage Museum The Kronau Heritage Museum is a non-profit, educational facility, that is operated for the betterment of the community. We are located 19km out of Regina.

The Kronau Heritage Museum is located In Kronau, Saskatchewan roughly 19km out of Regina on highway 33. Our Museum features a permanent upstairs exhibit dedicated to the history of the church and a downstairs exhibit that is changed once every two years! We are open for the season. We are excited to announce our latest Maker event! Scenter Stage Bath and Body Products will be at the museum helping participants to make their very own bath bombs. Join us on Sunday, September 6 at 1pm. This event is for all ages, however children under the age of 4 must be accompanied by a parent.

Did you know about the curling rink that helped train Canadian champions? Before there was any permanent rink, makeshift outdoor rinks were created by creating fences of snow or boards and hauling water for miles. However, in 1948, a two sheet rink was constructed in Kronau, which led to the founding of the Kronau Curling Club. Over the next 27 years, electricity, heating and a water system were added to the rink. In 1975 the rink was destroyed by a tornado, but luckily a curling club in Regina was available for restoration, but it needed to be moved in the next 30 days. The community banded together and the building was fully moved in reconstructed, with the first match in the new building held at the beginning of 1976. In 1983, led by coach Mike Schneider, the junior men's team was able to take home the national championship.

UPDATE! There are only a few spaces left! Don’t delay! The registration DEADLINE is AUG 30 so our instructor can prepare.

The Kronau museum will be hosting a bath bomb workshop on September 6th, and for $10, you can make a cupcake a round bath bomb that you can bring home! Registrations are filling up quick so make sure to register now to make sure you can secure a spot! If you are interested you can e-transfer us at [email protected] by August 30th.

The museum will be closed Wednesday, August 26th and Thursday, August 27th. The museum's last day open for the summer will be Sunday, August 30th.

The 4 Square Community Club was a women’s committee that supported and advanced the Kronau community for over 80 years! They held their first meeting on May 2, 1929 and by the end of the year had 38 members. Early projects included makeshift skating rinks, fowl suppers, dances, plays, auctions and so much more! During the Depression they helped assure local families stayed fed by handing out food and clothes, and a few years later began building a baseball diamond. They were also instrumental in building the memorial hall, which hosted many a function through the years.

Today was our most exciting day by far! The kids learned all about Schneider’s and KADER and made their own ice cream and firefighter inspired crafts. The highlight was a tour of the KADER-Waithman Fire Hall by two KADER firefighters complete with a ride in their fire truck and getting to try on their equipment ! The kids had an absolute blast, thank you again to Trevor and Armand for showing us around!
