Born in 1962 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Simone McLeod is an Ojibwe artist and a member of Pasqua First Nation in Saskatchewan. From an early age, she explored pencil, ink, charcoal, and pastels, developing a passion for portraits and wildlife before later embracing painting as her primary medium. Her work is deeply rooted in Indigenous storytelling, emotion, culture, and connection.
โ๐๐ค๐ฉ๐๐๐งโ๐จ ๐๐ค๐ซ๐โ is a beautiful 14x14 inch acrylic painting on canvas that captures the enduring strength and unconditional love of mothers. ๐ Whether they are with us today or watching from afar, a motherโs love remains a constant source of warmth, guidance, and comfort. This meaningful piece serves as a heartfelt reminder that their love transcends time and remains forever present in our hearts.
Let us honour the ๐๐๐๐, ๐๐๐๐
๐๐, and guidance passed down through generations and reflect on the powerful legacy mothers leave behind. ๐ท
