Tiny Wonders Roadside Gallery

Tiny Wonders Roadside Gallery Tiny Wonders Roadside Gallery is a free public art project. A physical and online art gallery. Miniature anything and everything!

Tiny Wonders Roadside Gallery came into being from a simple idea that grew to become a soul project. I -Wilderness Mouse- have been creating all of my life, and have had a sligyt obsession with miniatures. These two loves combined and my creations became tiny. I needed a space that would be willing to show my small pieces...Well here it is! Tiny Wonders is the place for any artist who is willing t

o work within certain constraints around size and theme. Please see rules and regulations and how to submit to participate in this free public art project! Themes will be posted on the 15th of the month, 2 months prior to exhibit. (example: theme for October comes out Aug 15th, submissions received by September 15th for October 1st exhibit.)

This gentle bumble couldn't resist the scent of the freshly bloomed snap dragon! A pair made in heaven!

A little about the artist:

Camille Glodeck is a self trained, multi-medium artist. Her eclectic style is influenced by her love of the natural world amd color! She loves to play and create with natural materials, wool, wood, as well as acrylic paints, watercolor, collage, needle work, carving, relief printing, and basketry. Come take a journey and experience her expression of the world around her.

A note from the artist:

"Each piece I created intuitively in response to what I experience. A sort of call and response to the world around me. I hope you enjoy!"

Today's feature:

The painting is from a photograph taken at Mashkinonje Prov Park at sunrise, as part of the CAMH Sunrise Challenge a few years back. The sunrise challenge requires participants to awaken before the sun for 5 days in a row, and take a picture each day of their Sunrise moment. This beautiful water color painting is made by Vera Regehr Charles .

Artist bio

Vera Charles creates art and poems under the soul name “jessie”. She started painting at age six and is still excited by bright coloured pencils, paints, and beckoning empty canvasses. As a child, she expressed her deep love of horses in her art. In high school art class, when a well-meaning friend criticized her paintings, Vera angrily put her art supplies away and refused to paint for over 20 years. Fortunately, during a long illness, her inner artist re-emerged under the tutelage of Vivian Beaucage. Later, artist Lana Richardson introduced her to watercolour, now Vera’s favourite medium. Vera also creates acrylic paintings, drawings, sculptures in various media, and photography. She strives to capture the beauty of nature, sailboats, and animals in her art. Influences include artists like Ivan Wheale, Barry Bowerman, Ruth Reid, and the Group of Seven. Her style is gradually growing from realism only to include more moody and free interpretations.

See Vera’s paintings on the page “Flying Colours” along with works from other artists.
