Veronika Pausova’s new paintings are currently on view at Pace Gallery, Berlin, in the group exhibition, Exquisite Co**se, curated by Loie Hollowell. Bringing together paintings, works on paper, and sculpture by Pausova, Hollowell, Sascha Braunig, and late Austro-American artist Kiki Kogelnik, the exhibition pays tribute to the artists’ shared inspiration for Kogelnik’s work, through surreal depictions of the human bosdy.

Erin Shirreff's exhibition Minor Figures, currently on view at the gallery until October 31, 2026, includes a new body of cyanotype photograms on paper.

In the artist's newly published monograph, author Rivka Galchen unpacks Shirreff’s longstanding experiments with cyanotype, in an original text titled "Darken Up":

"Shirreff wanted the cyanotypes at a scale that would lend them the presence of sculpture, noting that photographs reveal aspects of sculpture invisible to the eye in person... it's not that the photo shows the object's hidden essence, but one of its essences." —

We are delighted to highlight Dawit L. Petros's multi-site installation Emergent Formations, commissioned by the as part of the fourth edition of the Toronto Biennial of Art, Things Fall Apart, curated by

Working with archival maps and illustrations alongside site-specific sculpture and photography, Petros intervenes across the Aga Khan Museum's indoor and outdoor spaces. Emergent Formations takes as its starting point the 1884 British military expedition up the Nile to Khartoum—which enlisted hundreds of Canadian, Métis, Mohawk, and Haudenosaunee boatmen—and examines the visual and historical legacies of this encounter, highlighting overlapping geographies.

The Toronto Biennial of Art runs from September 26 to December 20, 2026. Visit to plan your visit.

Join us on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 1 PM, for a discussion between Erin Shirreff and Toronto-based art historian and editor Taylor Walsh, on the occasion of Shirreff’s new monograph. Shirreff and Walsh will delve into the artist’s twenty-year photography, film, and sculpture practice, expanding outwards to her current exhibition Minor Figures. The event is free and open to all.

Shirreff’s new monograph, published by Gregory R. Miller & Co., features new scholarship by art historians Megan R. Luke, Kate Nesin, Taylor Walsh, and Jeffrey Weiss, and an original text on Shirreff’s experiments with cyanotype by author Rivka Galchen.
