Thermal imaging is one of the tools used during engine runs to help our maintenance team verify the DC-3’s engines are operating as expected. By checking heat patterns across the cylinders, they can quickly identify whether everything is firing correctly.

A few weeks have passed since Kelowna hosted the 2026 Memorial Cup, and we're taking a moment to look back on some of the incredible events that took place at the KF Centre for Excellence.

We were proud to host Legends & Legacy, one of the tournament's signature celebrations, bringing together CHL executives, alumni, partners, sponsors, and community leaders to honour 50 years of the CHL and 30 years of the Kelowna Rockets.

Thank you to the CHL, Memorial Cup organizers, Kelowna Rockets, and all attendees for making it such a memorable evening.

A look back at the BC Aviation Council's Signature Dinner, hosted at the KF Centre for Excellence at the end of May.

We were proud to welcome aviation and aerospace professionals from across British Columbia as part of the BCAC Conference in Kelowna. Events like these strengthen connections across the industry and create opportunities to share ideas, discuss challenges, and explore the future of aviation in our province.

We're pleased to welcome Aviation Cultures community from Australia, and members of the Aviation Historical Society (National) from across Canada to the KF Centre for Excellence this week.

The four-day conference brings together historians, researchers, authors, pilots, engineers, restorers, and aviation enthusiasts to share stories, research, and ideas about aviation's place in history and society.

We look forward to welcoming the Aviation Cultures community, members of the CAHS from near and far to the KF Centre for Excellence.

Don't miss the Mosquito engine run on June 18 to hear the legendary Merlin engines come to life. The engine run is open to the public and included with general admission to the KF Centre for Excellence.
