This month, we are thrilled to invite you to experience our stunning new mother-daughter exhibition, Notions of Gathering by Amber and Cassia Powell, which opened on July 11th.
Beyond our walls, we are gearing up for our engaging August Kids’ Summer Art Camps, opening doors for student employment, looking ahead to our mysterious January 2027 exhibition, and seeking passionate individuals to join our team.

⭐️ Meet Amber Powell. Returning to her hometown in Lake Country, she’s bringing an intimate dual exhibition with her daughter, Cassia Powell. For the first time ever, Amber is building narratives outside the lines by incorporating unique elements directly into her frames to evoke a deeper, homely connection.

🖼️ NEW EXHIBITION: ‘Notions of Gathering’ by Amber & Cassia Powell
‘Notions of Gathering’ brings together an evocative collection of mixed-media drawings, textiles, installations, and collage. Drawing on the rich tapestries of storytelling, personal history, and spiritual folklore, this unique exhibition invites viewers to reconsider the items we bring into our lives.
Through their distinct yet interconnected practices, Cassia and Amber Powell explore the profound concept of gathered material, viewing objects not merely as things, but as entities with which one can develop a deep, reciprocal kinship.
The collection beautifully investigates the dualities of creation and legacy: what it means to actively produce, and conversely, what it means to inherit, hold, and gather objects over the passage of time.

The Lake Country Art Gallery is thrilled to present our upcoming duo exhibition, Notions of Gathering, featuring the deeply resonant, collaborative work of mother-daughter artists Cassia and Amber Powell.

Notions of Gathering brings together an evocative collection of mixed-media drawings, textiles, installations, and collage. Drawing on the rich tapestries of storytelling, personal history, and spiritual folklore, this unique exhibition invites viewers to reconsider the items we bring into our lives.
