The CASSETTA style of moulding originated in Renaissance Italy, the word literally meaning “little box”, and there’s a reason this profile has been used in European art for centuries. It comes from a time when the frame wasn’t just to hang it on the wall, but a part of the presentation of the art itself. And that’s why I love this frame, it’s deep architectural profile creates a transition between the painting and the world around it. Combining old world tradition with a new modern take. October is MY month!! And I wanted to celebrate by gifting half priced on almost everything framed on my walls here in shop!! If you know how much I love these pieces you will know why this is a BIG DEAL. Each one is crafted out of love by yours truly, and are all looking for a forever home. Here’s a couple of to consider, and I’ll be posting more through the month, as well as building more through the month as well!! GlenoraGallery🍀CourtScott

Framing creates the context for your artwork to become a moment where the viewer will get lost in the piece. I think when choosing your custom framing for a piece you should CONSIDER the room it will be hung in, but the best outcomes are when the artwork or piece is framed to showcase it independently for what suits the piece the best. This is why I like to provide a variety of options that are all going to complement what you are framing first and foremost and then rule out the options that will NOT work for your unique style. More often than not, people are choosing the “wild card” options and it makes me so happy! GlenoraGallery🍀CourtScott

I am such an Autumn!! 🍂 And fall really is FRAMING SEASON in my heart 🧡 This is NOT a print!! But rather a lifetime collection of maple leaves, each one hand placed and glued for the perfect fall breeze effect…. Reminiscent of crunching through the leaves- making piles and jumping into them. As the days get a wee bit chilly and the air is crisp, there’s nothing I love more then being in the shop and getting inspired by all the beautiful colours around us. GlenoraGallery🍀CourtScott

Being a custom picture framer makes you learn all sorts of skill sets you may not have a lot of experience in- and the most fun jobs do just that! Although I may not always be sure of HOW we will accomplish your goal, I will continue to push the limits within my skill set to NEVER say that anything cannot be done… good thing I wear glasses so I have experience in these tiny screws… Edmonton’s Finest Frame Shop 💙 11062-156st Edmonton, AB GlenoraGallery🍀CourtScott

Your GLASS is one of the most important decisions you will make when choosing your framing order. Do you want to conserve the piece from UV rays up to 99%, or worried about glare from where it’s hanging? Maybe you’d prefer to use plexiglass, so it will not break? We have close to TEN different options of glass and we can take the time to let you know the differences between each! The look of the piece IS important- but the way you can SEE it is MORE important. Can’t wait to bore you with all the details 😋. GlenoraGallery🍀CourtScott

How much will tariffs affect your next custom framing order? 🖼️ Good news is, not much! We consistently work with Canadian suppliers and are continuously looking for products that are locally available and at prices that make framing accessible for everyone. And with the latest news, we are happy to report that very little will change for 99% of orders. For 1% of products that do have changes, we will explain to you in the order process what the cost increase is, as well as provide substitutes and alternatives. Don’t stress Edmonton we got you!!
