This is my fave pic of Art. To meet him is to love him, but to really KNOW him, you wonder if he’s an angel walking on this Earth. On the days in the shop where he drives me nuts, I hafta remember when I was young, and I’m sure I drove him nuts too….. 😆 He chose us as a family, and it has blessed all our lives in ways that none of us ever could have imagined, and this little frame shop has been intertwined in that story the whole way through. To the man who has taught me everything I know about life, framing, and how to be a good human even when the world knocks you down. 💙

This Modigliani hangs in my shop, and while so many people love it, I will NEVER sell it. I keep it here because it was the FIRST custom framing I ever did for myself. As a teenager I begged my parents to let me frame it, in this very expensive moulding…. I had to have it!! (And worked many hours in the shop to pay it off 😂). Now, all these years later, she serves as a reminder to me of the feeling of falling in love with a piece and the perfect frame. Also the story of Jean Hebuterne and Modigliani is INSANE- highly recommend learning about it. 💔 GlenoraGallery🍀CourtScott

This matting technique was peak custom in the 80s and 90s- recently I learned how to do it, but wanted to MODERNIZE it. I used some Brite Core mats, which are great when you only want a subtle POP of colour. What do you think?? Would approve??

This apron translates to, “I Eat Today and Pay Tomorrow.” It’s stayed with me for a long time, the concept that business dealings should be done in trust, at our shop, you do not pay until you pick up, until you see the end result and are happy!! You’re trusting me to care for your pieces and frame them with conservation, and preservation in mind. And I will NEVER take that lightly! ♥️💚🤍.
