Picked this little piece up in my travels a few weeks ago, “A Sometime Thing”. I was struck by the simplicity of the piece. There’s a misconception around simple pieces, that they need simple framing as to not “overwhelm” the artwork. I disagree!! Simple pieces are a perfect opportunity to choose a frame that brings life to the piece, to GRAB someone’s attention and PULL you into it. We always remember when we fell in LOVE for the first time! This dandelion painting was the first original piece I HAD TO HAVE. Ask the artist, I CRIED when it was tentatively promised to someone else. But as all things work as they ought to, it has been mine for quite sometime now.
