surviving examples of grand house architecture in British Columbia's interior. Mackie Lake House is open for privately booked tours and events. Join our friends from Go By Bike BC Society Vernon/North Okanagan and the City of Vernon - Local Government Youth Climate Corps for a guided ride from Kalavida Surf Shop to Mackie House and enjoy iced tea and ice cream on the veranda! We’re very excited to announce that we’ve received the donation of the late Joan Heriot’s Plein Air easel and stool. You’ll see it around the Mackie Lake House site this summer, and it’s set out for anyone who’d like to use it 😊 the easel will change locations weekly and can be used for free during our open hours (Tuesday-Thursday, 10:00-4:00).

We’re open for tours again this week! Join us on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for guided tours of Mackie Lake House from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (last tour goes at 3:00). Bonus: when the House is open for tours, the grounds are open for self-guided visits. We are a picnic encouraged site and hope you’ll come enjoy the beautiful 5 acres we call home.
