Did you know we are open? We have reopened our doors after the May 15 fire and we are excited to welcome you back! Swing by and dig in the dino pit, plant fun veggies in the play garden, build something unique with lego, take a picture in the shadow room, and see what's new at the Okanagan Science Centre!

Family friendly activity in Vernon. Okanagan Science Centre has interactive science displays, weekly gallery shows, birthday parties, fun science experiments, school programming, home school support and field trips.

A new exhibit has flown into the Okanagan Science Centre! Pterosauria: Evolution of Flight, is an exciting new travelling exhibit in the main gallery on display June 9 through August 31.

Check out the incredible story of the first flying reptiles to rule the skies, from tiny gliders to massive flying creatures with wingspans rivaling small aircraft.

Big News! We’re reopening Tuesday, June 9th!

After the fire on May 15, restoration work has been completed and our team has been working hard to safely reopen. We’re excited to welcome visitors back to the main and second floors of the Okanagan Science Centre.

Join us starting Tuesday, June 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We can’t wait to see you back exploring, discovering, and having fun with us!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Bloomin’ Bingo last night in support of the Okanagan Science Centre. It was a fantastic evening filled with fab plant prizes including tropical plants, hanging baskets, garden goodies, great company, and plenty of lucky winners!

We are thrilled to announce that the Okanagan Science Centre will reopen to the public on Tuesday, June 9 following the structural fire on May 15th.

Over the past several weeks, restoration crews and staff have worked hard to help us recover.

While restoration work continues in the areas most affected by the fire, primarily the back stairwell and the basement programming room, we are excited to welcome visitors back to learn, explore and discover with us once again.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Okanagan Science Centre on June 9!
