Rivoli Brussels

Rivoli Brussels Seventies brutalist building gathering art galleries in the heart of Brussels. The beauty of its architecture will become clear once the renovation is complete.

Designed by architect Demeester and built in the late '70s, the Rivoli building was conceived as a luxury residence and shopping mall. Since then, its arcades have been a landmark feature of the Bascule district (Brussels). Inserted between three floors of parking, two floors of offices and eight floors of apartments, the Rivoli gallery was originally made up of some forty spaces that were grouped

together over time to form larger entities. During 2013, the gallery underwent its first phase of renovation, a significant indication of the complex's development potential over the coming years. Today, Rivoli Brussels gathers 15 art galleries in this historic seventies brutalist building.

For the opening of the season Hopstreet Gallery présents « De Atavisten », a solo exhibition of Tinus Vermeersch

In this series of oil paintings on panel, Vermeersch continues to develop the surreal universe that previously took shape in drawings, tempera paintings, sculptures and installations. Certain archetypes, such as the bird-man and the haystack, which had established a recurring presence in this mythical world, seem to recede into the background as this exploration continues.

For this opening season, Schonfeldgallery presents Alle Dagen Cake, a series of paintings by Annea Lyvv Dreisz where cake becomes a force of light against darkness — a critique of a society drowning in lies, while inviting us toward a state of Eternal Celebration. From frosting textures to vibrant fresh fruit, Dreisz positions cake as a symbol of celebration, communal dialogue, and the importance of the moment. When there is a cake, you are important!

Vue Gallery presents « Motherland » a solo exhibition of Charlotte Boeyden.

An intimate exploration of motherhood in its many forms: tender, chaotic, fragile, and luminous.
Through photography and textile works, Boeyden captures the quiet poetry of everyday life,
from pregnancy and breastfeeding to moments of play, tears, and laughter.

In ‘Please Be a Good Neighbour’, Colin Waeghe and Stief DeSmet move alongside one another
like neighbours who subtly reshape each other’s worlds without ever fully crossing into them.
Waeghe creates quiet landscapes of concealment and stillness — hedges, houses and surfaces
that hint at a world slowly shifting beneath itself. DeSmet approaches nature as something
reconstructed and remembered: fleeting images suspended between recognition and
disappearance.
