Utopia Art Sydney

Utopia Art Sydney Contemporary Art Gallery Utopia Art Sydney is committed to the representation of a small group of Australian artists.

These include leading members of Papunya Tula Artists, Gloria Petyarre from Utopia and non indigenous artists from Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra. Our reputation as one of the leading Aboriginal art galleries owes much to the fact that all our artists are represented equally. Since 1988, we have exhibited Aboriginal and non Aboriginal artists in a contemporary context. This has led to the emergenc

e of Aboriginal artists like Emily Kame Kngwarreye into the mainstream of Australian art. It has also served to expand the references for many of our artists. The artists we represent continue to explore the boundaries of their work. Utopia Art Sydney represents the following artists:

David Aspden, John Bursill, Liz Coats, Tony Coleing, Helen Eager, Marea Gazzard, Christopher Hodges, Emily Kame Kngwarreye, Peter Maloney, Gloria Petyarre, Kylie Stillman, John R Walker and Papunya Tula Artists. The Papunya Tula Artists include George Tjungarrayi, Ronnie Tjampitjinpa, Makinti Napanangka, Walangkurra Napanangka, Ningura Napurrula, Lorna Napanangka, and Warlimpirringa Tjapaltjarri.
