These wonderfully woven vessels by make for the perfect little trinket bowls
Each is intricately designed and woven using a variety of 2nd hand and bought wires, old food packaging and ribbons. A beautiful way to repurpose items otherwise destined for landfill!

This handmade 18ct yellow gold pendant was a remodelled piece that was created from 2 rings a client brought to the studio to be redesigned. Both rings were simple solitaire designs; with one ring, bezel set with the cabochon Star Ruby and the other ring was bezel set with a round brilliant cut Diamond. We finalised a traditional bezel design with both stones set atop one another to create a pendant that keeps a similar refined style which the client loved.

These handmade pearl earrings were commissioned by a client of the studio as a gift for her granddaughter
The client brought these Fresh Water Baroque pearls with the idea of creating a stylised cap and hook for the pearl. We also decided on a slightly longer shepherds hooks to give this earrings a more elongated feel. Custom pearl caps were made to fit against the pearls natural curvature. I hand filed and polished each platinum cap to create this refined and timeless ensemble.

Lately I’ve had the opportunity to create some musically inspired pieces as well as receiving a visit from a Piano piece I designed and a Treble Clef earring, I made many years ago .
Occasionally I get to enjoying crafting pieces relating directly to people’s interests creating a strong connection between the client and their new piece of jewellery
This Piano originally had the bail sitting at the back but with the current chain it was on would fall slightly forward when wearing. So, this provided the perfect opportunity to update the design. I moved the bail to the top of piano and styled it look like a candelabra

Every now and then between the surf and the studio Lucas likes to explore new artforms and techniques and recently he has stepped into the world of stone carving. Starting on softer materials such as Soapstone and Alabaster and recently taking on a slab of Marble.
He has gotten a few pieces to their final stages and wanted to show how they turned out.
Stone carving widened my artistic view in terms of working on a larger scale as well as learning new techniques of carving using a hammer and chisel to chip away at the stone to reveal the form you’re working towards rather than using files or burrs and drills.
The material itself also creates different shadows and reflections that play into or affect the final design in ways different to precious and semi-precious metals

This handmade Silver Palladium and Tourmaline dress ring is the latest evolution of my original floating bezel design.
The ring features this beautiful marquise shaped, cabochon pink Tourmaline that is set in an 18ct floating bezel setting, which sits above the concave section and elegantly frames the Tourmaline. The concave section not only creates an interesting perspective to view the ring, but it also reflects light up through the bottom of the stone enhancing its natural brilliance. While the silver palladium band emphasizes and emulates the shape of the gemstone with its fully rounded and polished surface. While the slight twist in the band allows the lines created by the points of the Tourmaline can be continued down through the rest of the design.
