These two pieces are in many ways unique in our collection of works for sale. They're heavily textured with sand from the red centre mixed into the paint - how could you better represent the 'creation of my mother's country' than to consolidate some of that very country into the artwork?

These beautiful paintings are both 180 x 120cm and are available for sale individually - but they also look
pretty slick together if you ask us.

Contact us through our socials, on our website, or by calling us directly on 0418 312 068 if you'd like to know more about these stunning pieces.

Jimmy An Gunguna -

This Hollow log painted in earth ochres is a really special piece. Standing 133cm tall the linework is intricate and precise, the colour palette is limited to the traditional red, yellow, white, and black ochres used for thousands of years as storytelling media, and the iconography is eye catching and very impressive.

We have many artefacts in addition to the paintings we have available for sale, hollow logs such as this, woomeras, barks, and other tools and ceremonial components - get in touch with us if you have an interest in these kinds of artworks - they're hard to find and very special pieces.

Barbara Weir - Women's Ceremony - 151 x 150cm

This very intricate piece by Barbara Weir was painstakingly created - the dotting is tiny and the effort and time that went into this painting is clear to see.

Get in touch to see it in person, it's far more impressive than these images can showcase.

Here is another example of the Work in Progress shots we have for most of the painting s we have for sale - these images allow you to purchase with confidence that the artworks are genuine and that the provenance of the painting is solid and reliable.

Additionally, they're just very cool images to have - being able to see your chosen artwork in various stages of completion gives some insight into the process employed by the artist in the creation of a paiting that you enjoy enough to hang it on your wall.

This piece by Michelle Possum Nungarrayi is called Worm Dreaming and is a fantastic example of how parents in the Aboriginal art world often pass their stories (or dreamings) down to their children. Michelle 'inherited' this dreaming from her father Clifford Possum, and while you can see that she has made the style her own in comparison to her father's works the DNA is all right there.

Ronnie Tjampitjinpa was a very special artist, and quite the character.

This gorgeous painting - titled Tjintjiny - is an excellent example of his work. The colours play of each other very well, and the design is superb.

These working shots of Ronnie working on the piece are a real treasure too, and demonstrate the way that these pieces are painted much the same way today as they were when they were temporary artworks made in the sand and scattered to the winds after a time. Thank heavens this one didn't blow away.

If you like this painting, you should have a look also at the many other pieces by Ronnie that we have available on our website. Give us a call or get in touch if you'd like to purchase a piece of his wonderful art.
