UPCOMING EXHIBITION | Where the Light Rests

Bringing together the practices of Agneta Ekholm, Galia Gluckman and Elefteria Vlavianos, 'Where the Light Rests' explores the relationship between surface, material and light through works shaped by layering, repetition and process.

Across painting, paper and wax, each artist approaches material with a quiet sensitivity, allowing traces of time, touch and transformation to remain visible within the work. Light is absorbed, diffused and interrupted across each practice, creating works that shift subtly through movement and duration.

Rather than resolving into a singular narrative, the exhibition invites a slower and more attentive form of looking.

Join us for the Opening Event on Thursday 4 June from 5-7pm to coincide with

Working with layered wax and encaustic techniques, .vlavianos explores the idea of post-memory; how stories, images and emotions are carried across generations. Congratulations to Agneta Ekholm on being named a finalist in The King’s School Art Prize.

'Unspoken Hold' reflects a practice shaped over decades, where gesture, removal, and restraint work in quiet dialogue. Through a process of layering and reduction, the surface holds a subtle tension, forms emerging and dissolving, light and shadow folding into one another.

The result is a work that resists declaration, instead inviting a slower encounter, one that lingers in what is felt, rather than said.

We’re so proud to see Agneta’s deeply intuitive practice recognised.
