We are delighted to be presenting a suite of glazed ceramic vessels by South Australian artist Nikki Dowdell.

Central to Nikki’s practice is an ongoing fascination with glaze chemistry and the unpredictability of the firing process. Through continual experimentation, she embraces unexpected results and subtle variations, producing pieces that are both richly individual and inherently unique.

With a background in physiotherapy, Mela brings a unique understanding of anatomy and gesture to her exploration of the human form. Her sculptural process begins in clay, allowing her to capture the subtle details, expressions and nuances that bring each figure to life before they are transformed into exquisite bronze forms.

Sally Browne's solo exhibition 'The Botanical Imagination' is now showing! 💫 Until 8th Nov

In describing this stunning contemporary painting, Sally states:

"I often think about gardens as I’m drifting off to sleep, when remembered plants and places start to blur into something stranger. This painting is an attempt to recreate that state in the studio, not a particular garden, but the dreamy afterimage of gardens I’ve seen and carried with me".

Lise Temple's solo exhibition 'To the River' is now showing! ✨ Until 8th Nov

This new body of work brings together expressive landscapes and interiors that balance observation with abstraction. Inspired by everyday surroundings, her paintings reduce familiar places to bold planes of colour, rich impasto and gestural marks, where space is continually reshaped through the physical act of painting. 🧡

These works are certainly best experienced in person to fully appreciate the richness in colour and texture, so we hope that you can visit the gallery to view this extraordinary body of work.

✨ Thank you to everyone who joined us in the gallery last night for the opening of Lise Temple’s solo exhibition, 'To the River', featuring bronze sculpture by Mela Cooke.

As well as Sally Browne’s solo exhibition, 'The Botanical Imagination' featuring ceramic vessels by Nikki Dowdell. ✨

It was a wonderful evening celebrating the beautiful work of all four artists and sharing these special exhibitions with our gallery community. We would also like to especially thank Sally Browne and Mela Cooke for travelling from interstate to be here 💗

Both exhibitions are on display until 8 November, so be sure to visit the gallery and experience these works in person. 💚
