What a night! 🤩 The gallery was packed to the brim last night as we celebrated the opening of our new exhibitions by Sarah McDonald, Amanda Westley, Brenden Scott French and Donna Gordge.

The evening included a beautiful Acknowledgement of Country presented by Amanda Westley, followed by a passionate and inspiring speech from Sarah McDonald. It was wonderful to see the gallery buzzing with artists, friends, supporters and art lovers, all coming together to celebrate these incredible new exhibitions.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the opening such a memorable night. We’re so excited to share these exhibitions with you, if you haven’t visited yet, we’d love to see you in the gallery soon! ✨

OPENING TOMORROW NIGHT, 6–8pm! ✨

'Nganawi Ruwi' (My Country) is a solo exhibition of paintings Ngarrindjeri artist Amanda Westley. This exhibition reflects a deep and enduring connection to land, family, and coastal country. Raised between farm life and the ocean, with a boatbuilder father, Westley’s lived experience of water, shoreline, and rural landscape continues to shape both her identity and her practice.

Exhibiting for the first time with the gallery is South Australian artist Donna Gordge with a fascinating collection of woven sculptural works. With a background in textiles, Donna uses techniques and materials in an unexpected way to create distinctive sculptural forms.

The relationship of Amanda's colourful and intricate paintings alongside Donna's captivating sculptures is a visual delight! 💫🧡

We look forward to seeing you in the gallery!

OPENING TOMORROW NIGHT, 6–8pm! ✨

‘High Country’ solo exhibition of paintings by Sarah McDonald, presented alongside glass works by Brenden Scott French ✨

This exhibition presents a new series of paintings inspired by Sarah’s residency in Victoria’s Alpine National Park. Drawing on time spent among snow gums in the stillness of winter, these works reflect a quiet, immersive connection to an unfamiliar alpine landscape, shaped by solitude, contemplation and reflection.

We are also delighted to be presenting a stunning collection of new works by South Australian glass artist Brenden Scott French, marking his first time exhibiting with the gallery. This collection showcases his distinctive use of rich, opaque colour and sculptural form in a striking exploration of contemporary glass.

It’s almost impossible to put into words just how incredibly stunning the work of both these artists is. The paintings and glass come together beautifully, creating an exhibition that is quiet, powerful and deeply evocative. 💙🧡

We look forward to seeing you in the gallery!
