Investigating paint beyond the canvas, Katey Smoker explores what happens when a medium traditionally used to create an image becomes the structure itself.

Her works challenge the traditional boundaries of painting and the expectations placed on the medium. See Katey’s works now showing in No Conditions of Use until August 29.

Lucia Dohrmann’s practice explores the connections between pattern, repetition and textile processes, drawing on the mathematical thinking woven into these traditions 🧵

Working with painters’ canvas, Lucia deconstructs and reassembles woven textiles through knotting, sewing and reweaving, creating tactile surfaces that speak to labour, time and transformation.

We’re excited to welcome Swapna Namboodiri to Gallery 42 for our SALA Festival exhibition - No Conditions of Use!

Swapna pushes the boundaries of how materials can be used and reused, transforming everyday objects into works that encourage us to look at them a little differently.

Join us August 7 from 6pm for the opening of No Conditions of Use.
