Itinerary for the day is.
A drive up mount Wellington now known as mount kanungi , at the top of the mountain you will find a small shelter please take a thick jacket as it will be windy but the views are spectacular. In the colder months there's quite possibly snow and if so, they may shut the gates in front of you simply park and explore in the snow, do drive to the conditions. There are also lots of excellent walks on the mountain and a grate Map showing the details at the Ferntree Tavern. On your way back down continue down the old road traveling south to Longley and stop at the lonely international pub our local, for an open fire and usually live music. Its also home to “The Woolf Brothers” and has the longest Huon Pine Bar in the world. Worth a look. The above could take you 3 Hours?

A great place to go during the summer months for a good feed and fun music. FRANKO in Flanklin Park Hobart.
You can get a variety of our yummy street food, beverages alchol are non are are available as well. This is set in the middle of the city centre in franklin Park, big rugs are provided with seats as well, you might have to be an early bird to get these though.
But there are plenty of other places to take purch to enjoy the beats the bands are smashing out.
Food wise there is a variety from Spanish to Japanese, vego options.
A really chill and fantastic evening to be had.

Maria Island

Our island within an Island if you have time it is well worth a trip to Maria Island.
A ferry trip from Triabunna will deliver you to the door step of Maria Island, Climb Mt Maria 7 hour trip for the experience bush walker, check out the houses and ruins from a by gone era. Even hire a bike for a circumnavigation of the island.
If you feel like just relaxing on a beach there are plenty to choose from.
With a quick day trip over on the ferry you can immerse you self into some Tasmanian heritage or just convers with our wildlife. We have wombats roos and wallabies with Cape Barron geese just cruising around.
Even the Tassie devils will poke there head out at night.

Just a little hint there is no food or coffee on the island it's a byo session enjoy :-)
