Lone Goat Gallery Lone Goat Gallery is a contemporary art space in the heart of Byron Bay and just a short walk from Main Beach (in the Byron Library building) Do drop in!

Lone Goat Gallery is Byron Shire's contemporary community art space, exhibiting the work of artists from the Byron region and beyond. Located in the Byron Bay Library building, downtown, and right across the road from Main Beach. Lone Goat Gallery is managed by a professional Gallerist and supported by a team of Volunteers. If volunteers are unavailable at short notice advertised gallery hours may be impacted.

Introducing Explorations, an exhibition bringing together the work of artists Leah Thiessen and Steve Waller, celebrating curiosity, observation and the ongoing process of discovery through art.

Through layered paintings, expressive drawings and thoughtful experimentation, both artists explore ideas of place, memory, perception and experience.

Rather than offering fixed answers, Explorations invites us to slow down, look closer and discover something new in the works and perhaps in ourselves.

Join us for the exhibition opening next Friday evening.

Last day!

Lucas is a contemporary artist based in the Northern Rivers whose work brings together his love of art, television, movies, games and comics.

For Lucas and the Midsomer Murders, his daily fascination with the long-running TV series becomes the inspiration for paintings, drawings, paper sculptures and distinctive handwritten works.

Developed at The Outpost Studio in Lismore with mentor artists Claudie Frock and René Bolten, the series offers a fascinating glimpse into Lucas’s way of seeing, remembering and making sense of the fictional world he knows so well.

From sprawling landscapes and architectural details to character lists and episode histories, every work reveals another layer of Lucas’s extraordinary relationship with the show.

Open 10am to 4pm today.

Lucas’s artworks capture the joy he finds in his favourite TV show, Midsomer Murders.

Lucas becomes part of the action by joining the Midsomer Murders team in his own unique way.

Don’t miss his exhibition ‘Lucas and the Midsomer Murders’ which finishing this Saturday at Lone Goat Gallery.

Lucas Wright is a contemporary artist with Down Syndrome living in the Northern Rivers. His practice draws on Western landscape and architectural painting, as well as popular culture from television, film, games and comics.

FINAL DAYS!

There only a few days left to see 'Lucas and the Midsomer Murders' by Northern Rivers artist Lucas Wright.

Inspired by his all-time favourite TV show, Midsomer Murders, Lucas has created an extraordinary body of paintings, drawings, paper sculptures and handwritten works exploring the show’s landscapes, buildings, characters and storylines.

Lucas was introduced to Midsomer Murders by his mum about 20 years ago and continues to watch it daily!

Come and explore Lucas’s world before the exhibition closes!
