It's back!

Lace up your skates and roll into Haven Gallery for Glide - where art meets funk, soul meets wheels and the gallery floor becomes your dancefloor..

On Sunday 31 May, Haven Gallery transforms into Byron Bay's ultimate rolling playground. Skate beneath large-scale installations and immersive light while a live DJ spins the best of disco, funk, and soul. Whether you're a seasoned skater or just finding your wheels, Glide is all about joy, movement and good company.

The Sessions

🟡 Family Glide - 3 to 6PM
Kids and parents welcome. Bring the whole crew and let loose together in the gallery. Please note: an adult must be in attendance with each group.

🟡 Night Glide (18+) - 6 to 10PM
Disco, funk, and free skate. The evening is all yours - dress to express and dance on wheels.

Byron Bay is breathtaking in the sunshine - but some of its most memorable moments happen when the sky opens up and the town slows down. On those rainy days, instead of waiting it out at a café, Haven Gallery is where you want to be.

Currently showing PLAY, Haven Gallery's latest exhibition is unlike anything else in Byron. An immersive and interactive experience presenting international multidisciplinary artists, PLAY gently asks when you last invited someone to play - and then gives you every reason to remember.

Inside the reimagined former Woolworths building, the entire space has been transformed into a living artwork that shifts with light, colour and atmosphere - where immersive installations blend physical space with digital imagination. The exhibition blends light, sound, digital environments and tactile installations to dissolve the line between audience and artwork.

This is not a gallery where you stand back and observe. You lay back and are surrounded by atmospheric films in the 360-degree cinema dome, touch walls and create art, stand and become a projection-mapped art piece - moving, listening, looking and connecting with art in entirely new ways.

And the best part? It's designed for people of all ages to play, explore and engage - making it the perfect wet weather escape whether you're travelling with kids, on a couples getaway, or flying solo and looking for something truly different.

Rainy days in Byron are fun, creative and playful.

Tickets start from $20 for kids and $30 for adults!
Concessions also available. Free for NDIS support workers.
