The doors of Garden of Eve are open.

Last night we welcomed the first guests into a world of 24 extraordinary jewellery pieces by Evgeniya Lisichkina of Jane Ju. The collection is organised around three worlds: Heaven, Earth, and the World of Humans. Each piece tells a fragment of a larger story, one of womanhood, beauty, and the natural forces that shape us.

Baroque pearls shaped like angels' wings. Clusters of amethysts blooming into hydrangeas. Black diamonds set into Akoya pearls. Delicate silver leaves embracing freeform gemstones. These are not simply objects to wear. They are an invitation to feel, to remember, and perhaps to find what was lost.

All 24 pieces are on view and available for purchase at Creative Room Art Space today and tomorrow, until Sunday 31 May at 5:00 pm. This is your only chance to see the collection in person in Brisbane.

And today there is one more reason to visit. At 12:00 pm, Evgeniya joins us for Worn and Wild, a free talk on jewellery, fashion, and sustainability. A candid conversation about the fashion industry, jewellery trends, and sustainability from someone who knows it inside out, from the pages of Glamour and Marie Claire to the set of The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart.

Come today. See these masterpieces in person.
15 Dornoch Terrace, West End, Brisbane. Free entry.

The Monkey Rope Vine winds itself around ancient trees, finding its way upward not despite obstacles, but through them. Native to Eastern Australia, Parsonsia straminea is a true rope of the forest, its stems becoming thick and strong over time, a symbol of resilience, interdependence, and quiet ascent. One of the plants at the heart of Oxana Arefin's Botanical Meditation.

Each painting in the exhibition is devoted to a single plant carrying its own mythology, healing associations, and symbolic intelligence. Aloe Vera, Guava, Frangipani, Silky Oak, Jacaranda. Each holds stories that have moved through civilisations and the human psyche for centuries.

The exhibition is open Wednesday to Saturday and we warmly invite you to visit, take your time, and experience the work in your own way. If you would like to go deeper, join Oxana in person on Saturday 6 June for a guided experience, where each visitor receives a written meditation and moves through the exhibition to find the painting that belongs to them. Like an oracle card, the plant chooses you. What appears accidental often feels deeply personal.

Guided experience: Saturday 6 June, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Free entry. Bookings via the link below.

Only two weeks left. Botanical Meditation closes 10 June.

Something precious is coming to Creative Room.

We are thrilled to present Garden of Eve, a new jewellery collection by Jane Ju. Opening night: Friday, 29 May at 6:00 pm.

Precious, intuitive, unpredictable. Garden of Eve is a meditation on a woman's inner world, her capacity to create, to imagine, to desire. A place where curiosity leads, fantasy and reality fuse, and tenderness exists alongside danger. Earthly flowers grow next to ethereal ones. Delicate silver leaves embrace freeform gemstones. Clusters of amethysts bloom into hydrangeas. Baroque pearls shaped like angels' wings. Black diamonds set into Akoya pearls. Forbidden fruits and pearls of inner knowledge, fragments of a larger story of womanhood and its shared psyche.

Jane Ju is a Sydney-based organic and sustainable jewellery brand founded in 2012 by Evgeniya Lisichkina, a designer with an international background in fashion, art, and journalism. Trained in silversmithing and precious stone setting at the Gaffa Gallery and the Whitehouse Institute of Design, Evgeniya works with non-calibrated gemstones in organic settings inspired by the Australian landscape and the meditative tradition of Japanese ink painting. Her work has been featured in Glamour and Marie Claire as Editor's choice, and she has been a member of the Australian Fashion Council since 2018.

Many will know Jane Ju as the jeweller behind the Amazon original series The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart. Garden of Eve is a natural continuation of that world, reaching toward something deeper and more intimate. In Evgeniya's own words: "For me, Garden of Eve is Australia itself. With its intensity and wild beauty, with its contradictions, and its resilience. A place shaped by fire and flood, by destruction and regeneration. I found them, the flowers which were lost, all here, in a beautiful inner refuge."

The collection will be on view and available to purchase throughout the opening weekend, from Friday evening until Sunday 31 May at 5:00 pm.

On Saturday, 30 May at 12:00 pm, join Evgeniya for Worn and Wild, a free artist talk on jewellery, fashion, and sustainability. An insider's conversation about trend cycles, the global fashion industry, and the unique value of jewellery as a wearable object.

Opening Night: Friday, 29 May, 6:00 pm

Botanical Meditations is not simply an exhibition of paintings. It is a living, sensory experience of reflection, symbolism and inner discovery. This Sunday, Oxana Arefin invites you into a guided encounter with the work.

Upon entering, each guest receives a written meditation dedicated to a single plant. The encounter is intentional: like an oracle card, the plant chooses the viewer. What appears accidental often feels deeply personal. The text becomes a key. The painting becomes a mirror.

Inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, the restorative act of immersing oneself in the living atmosphere of trees, this experience offers a contemporary, poetic equivalent through painting.

Free to attend.
When: Sunday 24 May, 2 pm to 4 pm.
Where: Creative Room Art Space, 15 Dornoch Terrace, West End.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening of Botanical Meditation today. It was a beautiful few hours and we loved sharing it with you and Oxana.

A special thank you to Xenia Singer, who filled the gallery with the most beautiful high vibration music on handpan. Many of us had never encountered this extraordinary instrument before, and Ksenia took the time to share its story, its sound, and the philosophy behind it. It was the perfect companion to Oxana's work.

The exhibition is now open and all works are available for purchase. Come back, bring a friend, take your time.

On Sunday 24 May we invite you to go a little deeper. Botanical Meditations is a guided session with Oxana Arefin, inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, forest bathing, a contemplative immersion in the living atmosphere of nature. Rather than observing from a distance, you are invited to slow down, listen, and let the work find you. Each visitor receives a written meditation connected to a single plant, then moves through the exhibition to find the painting that belongs to them. A quiet, personal encounter with art, symbol, and the natural world.
