At AMB we have a lot to offer in terms of historical artefacts. We have an amazing team who assist with the conservation and preservation of our items including our beloved vehicles.
This beauty was looking a bit worse for wear sitting in our compound, but with a bit of TLC has come back looking brilliant!!
Old Tunza Gutz might need to watch its rear as the prized Wrecky Mech...😅😅😅

As we all know the museum got a face lift late last year and into early this year. As a result we have also taken the opportunity to upgrade our Gate Guards.
In full Logistics style we have introduced our Pettibone Forklift and
Blitz Truck to the left hand side of out museum, and they look GREAT!!!
Stay tuned for the upcoming right side gate guards...take a guess if you dare at what is going in there 😁😁😁

🌺🌺🌺REMEMBRANCE DAY🌺🌺🌺

With Remembrance Day quickly approaching AMB is reaching out to let the community know we are setting up a Remembrance Wall in order to commemorate all past and current serving ADF members.
When you come and visit the museum, please bring a small photo of the person you would like to pin up on our wall, preferably in uniform, however we do understand if that is not possible.
Alternatively we have a Commemorative Rising Sun (in pictures) which you are able to name your member and their service.
If you are unable to come in personally, please feel free to send a message with your member and their service and we at AMB will fill out the Rising Sun on your behalf.
Mark your remembrance this year on our Memorial Board.
We look forward to seeing or hearing from you.

NURSING AIDS AT WAR

17 Sep 2026 marked the launch of the Australian Army History Series 'Nursing Aids at War' by Dr Jason Smeaton.
This book explores the nursing aid and how the Voluntary Aid Detachments (VADs) became intertwined with the nursing service in the First and Second World Wars. The transition into the Australian Army Medical Women's Service (AAMWS) and the chellenges faced by both VAD and AAMWS. It is the first account of teh AAMWS and offers an understanding of hte impact the war had on women and on genddered ideas of work and spaces.
We were fortunate to have Dr Smeaton and retired COL Jan McCarthy, the muse for the book, present at the launch. They presented to the up and coming Nursing Class then stopped for a cuppa at the Hasty Tasty while enjoying all that AMB has to offer.

HOLBROOK RSL Sub-branch
is offering a fantastic trip to the Australian War Memorial, free to Veterans and families of Veterans. Even if you have no relatives who have served but are interested in learning about our history, I’m sure you’d be welcomed with open arms. Congratulations to the Holbrook team for organising this. 23rd ARMY APPRENTICE INTAKE
On 23 Sep 26 AMB was host to the 23rd Army Apprentice Intake.
As they approach their 60th anniversary the Intake kindly presented their 50th Anniversary Door to the museum for display.
As you may or may not be aware, AMB is home to Army Logistics Corps and we proudly display our RAEME artefacts including the coverted Apprentice items.
Thank you 23rd Intake for your wonderful donation, we are humbled and grateful it has found its home here at AMB.
