Please join us on July 19th for Dr. Thomas Turner's lecture about President Lincoln's New England connections. Dr. Turner was a member of the History Department at Bridgewater State University where he taught from 1971-2010. For 34 years he edited The Lincoln Herald, the oldest American journal devoted to the study of our 16th president Dr. Turner is the longest serving editor in that publication’s history He is also the author of Beware the People Weeping: Public Opinion and the Assassination of Abraham Lincoln, the first book by an academic historian to deal with the assassination.

The Board of OBHS has announced that 3 Open Houses will be held this summer at the Keith Parsonage on River Street in West Bridgewater. The parsonage was originally the home of the Rev. James Keith and his family. It is thought to be the oldest standing parsonage in the United States.
