We are excited to share that Under New Management: The Commodification of the Permanent Collection, our newest exhibition, is now on view at Fuller Craft Museum!

This exhibition features works from Fuller Craft’s collection selected by guest curators and Boston-area artists Oliver Mak, Kenji Nakayama, and Pat Falco. Operating as a fictitious marketing company, MFN Integrated Solutions, the curatorial team aims to activate the collection while challenging the perception of museums through exhibition curation and design, including promotional posters created by artists/sign painters Nakayama & Falco. By reframing the works as commodities, the exhibition disrupts the oft-opaque nature of cultural institutions and offers new ways of looking at museum objects.

We're open, Tuesday - Sunday 10am - 5pm. Admission is FREE for Brockton residents and by donation for all guests, suggested donation $12, we can't wait to see you there!

Join us for April's Collection Spotlight happening TOMORROW, April 14th at 4PM EST on Zoom! Register today for this virtual program using the link below. We'll be chatting with Silas Kopf & Jay Stanger!

For nearly five decades, Jay Stanger has been creating functional artwork. Both in his furniture design and architectural sculpture, Stanger’s work has broken the barriers between fine art and craft. The result is a unique synthesis of geometry, movement, color and emotion.

Kopf incorporates a wide variety of techniques to decorate the furniture he both designs and builds. The standards are exacting, and every attempt is made to build work of the highest caliber, creating work that is sought after by collectors. Most of the marquetry is made with wood, but occasionally other materials are used; brass, copper, aluminum, mother-of-pearl, abalone, and reconstituted stone.
