Our museum focuses on Native American culture across North America. Group tours are available during the winter by calling and making an appointment.

We are the only Native museum located in New Hampshire, and are ranked in the top ten Native American museums in the country. Open May 1 through October 31st
Monday through Saturday from 10AM - 4PM
Sundays from 12 noon - 4PM

The museum is open every Friday through April 30th. Please call 603-456-2600 to arrange a time and date. We’re so pleased to welcome a beautiful new hemlock tree to Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum's grounds! The tree was recently planted along our new accessible trail by Pellettieri Associates, adding another special touch to this evolving space.

We’re grateful to for helping make our new trail and landscape even more beautiful. We look forward to watching this hemlock grow for years to come!

See you tomorrow, RAIN OR SHINE!
Join us at Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum, at 18 Highlawn Road in Warner, tomorrow, Saturday, September 26th from 10 am - 3 pm for our annual family-friendly Harvest Moon Festival. The festival is a Native American celebration of the harvest, the end of one cycle and the beginning of another. Harvest Moon is about more than just crops and food, it is a celebration of a season’s worth of hard work throughout the community.

The day will include the opportunity to make dolls from corn husks, sweet grass braids and hear traditional Abenaki storytelling. There is also a special scavenger hunt activity to complete - even the adults will have fun with this! Enjoy watching a live demonstration of flint-knapping, and learn the process of how acorn flour is made. Listen to the enthralling beats of Walking Bear Singers. There will be sensory-friendly activities and games. The entire family will savor the taste of Native foods, including the ever-popular Hidatsa bison stew and three-sisters soup. Tickets are available at the gate the day of the event.

Earlier this week, we had the great pleasure of hosting Gary Pond, who gave an engaging talk on Native jewelry during our Educator Training Day. His presentation spanned the country, from turquoise traditions of the Southwest to wampum of the Northeast, offering wonderful insight into the history, artistry, and cultural significance of these remarkable pieces.

We are so grateful to Gary for sharing his time, knowledge, and passion with us. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn, and we truly appreciate him making the time to share his expertise!
