What an incredible day at the grand reopening of our museum! 🎉

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out to celebrate with us and help make this such a memorable occasion. We were thrilled to share a special presentation on our historic bells, and hearing them ring out once again was a proud and meaningful moment, even if Route 114 tried its best to steal the show! 🔔

Sunday simply wouldn't have been possible without the dedication, passion, and countless hours of our amazing volunteers. From preparing exhibits and organizing the event to welcoming every visitor with a smile, they poured their hearts into making this reopening a success. Their hard work truly brought our museum back to life, and we are so grateful for everything they do.

It was wonderful to see so many community members filling the museum throughout the day. One of the greatest joys was watching visitors discover pieces of their own family history in our exhibits, sharing stories, pointing out familiar faces, and creating new memories together. Seeing historic Academy Hall bustling with laughter, conversation, and excitement was exactly what we had hoped for!

If you couldn't join us this weekend, don't worry. We'd love to welcome you another time! The museum is open every Thursday from 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. and on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month from 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

Thank you again to our incredible volunteers, our visitors, and everyone who continues to support and celebrate our local history. Your enthusiasm is what keeps our museum thriving, and we can't wait to see you again soon! ❤️

Thanks to everyone who came out today for the grand re-opening of our museum! Sadly, the bell ringing didn't quite go as planned, but we tried! We probably had 75-80 people come through our doors today to view the new exhibits and the response was great! If you couldn't make it today, our museum is open every Thursday from 10-2 and on the first and third Saturdays of each month from 10-1. Thanks again for your support!

Henniker is participating in the NH Historical Society's 603 History Hunt. Towns around the state have put artifacts on display for hunters to find (there are two in Henniker). The event goes through the month of July and prizes will be awarded! It's a great way to learn more about our state's Revolutionary War history!

Due to numerous scheduling conflicts, we won't be open this weekend, June 20th. However, we do hope you'll stop by the parish hall at 6:30 tonight, June 18, for our talk on Henniker's One Room School Houses and annual meeting.
