Muster Field Farm Museum

Muster Field Farm Museum Muster Field Farm Museum is a nonprofit working farm and museum in North Sutton, NH. It includes the 1787 Matthew Harvey Homestead, a collection of historic farm buildings, vegetable and flower gardens, orchards, and conserved woodland.
(22)

Matthew Harvey bought the land that would become his farm in July of 1774. The 250-acre parcel that encompasses the Museum site now includes the 1787 Matthew Harvey Homestead, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, vegetable and flower gardens, orchards, conserved woodland overseen by the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, a collection of historic buildings dating from 1793 to 1910, and scenic tableland on which musters were held for citizen-soldiers from Sutton and surrounding towns from the late 1700s until 1851.

Mission: Muster Field Farm's goal is to preserve and celebrate the agrarian heritage of rural New Hampshire. The 18th century farm follows the rhythms of the land: planting seed, growing vegetables, herbs and flowers, tending animals, haying, gathering harvest and caring for the forest.
