***POST EVENT UPDATE - Event done.
It was so nice to see the enthusiasm and dedication the volunteers of other organizations have for their sites. When visiting our table, dozens of people said, “I had no idea this existed”.

(Next year)….Come on over to Collins Arena at Brookdale CC. Top photo has our table.

There are historic societies from all over Monmouth County here…. Until 1:30 today.

Joe and I removed the cut hedge from the side of 9010C. Then we moved over to 9032B to remove yesterday’s cut branches. Surprise! Dan Lieb had already disposed of them. Thanks Guys.

Either type, they provide great shade in the summer. They also drop lots of leaves in the fall.

Volunteers in ACTION. We were busy today!

I cut overgrown bushes by 9010C and 9032B with my mini chainsaw on a pole. Dan Lieb cleaned leaves by 9032C with his leaf blower. John P. and I cut the fallen tree off the fence. John’s gas powered chainsaw really did the job!

A technology hero who graced Camp Evans throughout his career. The 100’ tall RADAR tower built by the US ARMY Signal Corps at his Alpine, NJ laboratory is the last surviving SCR-271-D unit. Hundreds were manufactured for WW2. Four of these units once stood on the ground of Camp Evans.
