Our 4th Annual Classic Car Show exceeded all expectations!

Perfect weather helped bring out our largest turnout yet, with more than 100 classic cars joining us for an incredible day.

We cannot thank everyone enough who brought out a vehicle, stopped by to enjoy the show, visited the museum, and supported our event. A special thank you goes to all of our sponsors, whose generosity helped make this year's show possible. With nearly 50 trophies presented to some truly beautiful classic cars, the support of our sponsors helped us recognize our participants and ensure the event was a success.

Our Association is funded solely through fundraising events and the generous contributions of our supporters. The success of events like this directly helps us continue our mission of preserving our local fire service history for future generations.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in making our 4th Annual Classic Car Show our biggest one yet! We truly appreciate the continued support of our museum and its mission, and we look forward to doing it all again next year!

At almost 45 years old, our Union Fire Company Pirsch passed its NFPA 1911 fire pump certification today!

With annual pump testing taking place here locally, we were able to squeeze our classic in between the modern-day apparatus and see how it would perform. As anticipated, it operated to standard and successfully passed the test.

For those unfamiliar, the NFPA fire pump test is widely considered a rigorous test, pushing the apparatus and its mechanical components to their limits to verify the pump can safely and reliably perform under the demanding conditions expected during emergency operations.

The ground ladders were also tested today, with the Pirsch passing all required testing there as well.

Nearly 45 years after being placed into service, it can still do what it was built to do. While its days of responding to alarms may be behind it, preserving fire service history means more than simply putting an old truck on display. Whenever possible, we want to preserve these pieces of history in operational condition so future generations can experience them as they were intended.
