We don’t normally hold events in December but this year, we decided to change that. We will be hosting a special event where we will decorate several barns for the holiday season AND have our farmhouse open for cookies and hot chocolate and activities! We’ll be offering wagon rides around the property to view our beautiful decorations. Santa has promised to come by, and even The Grinch might come down from Mount Crumpit! We can’t wait to see you all there!

Summergrass San Diego

Summergrass San Diego

UPDATE 6-10-20: To our Summergrass fans,

The Summergrass Board has always prided itself in presenting a festival that was friendly, safe and welcoming. This year was no exception. We were on our way to having a wonderful event. Every year there are always things that pop up which we have to find a way to work around or adjust to the circumstances.

However, this year we are just overcome by the current virus environment and there is nothing we can do to change it. We have held off our decision as long as we could hoping that the State would give us permission to gather. However, this is not happening.

Recently, we sent out a survey to our fans who we have contact information for to gather their information and opinions on the possibility of having Summergrass 2020. We have now looked at all that data (see key survey results, below). Many people (about 50%) would attend without any restrictions, but there were also as many (about 50%) that would not attend if there weren’t restrictions in place (social distancing, masks, etc. ). We know that we cannot accommodate all the restrictions deemed necessary at this time and also have a successful event.

So, it is with great sadness that we must make the decision to cancel Summergrass 2020.

We know this is a major gathering of our bluegrass family, and please know we will miss seeing you all – our bluegrass Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Brothers and Sisters. Please also know that we intend to hold the reunion next year – Summergrass 2021. As we go forward, we will keep our loyal attendees informed on the future and we are now planning for a wonderful Summergrass 2021.

If you would like to support our Summergrass 2021 we would be most grateful. To donate, please go to summergrass.eventbrite.com and click on “Tickets.” This will take you to our donation page. Your donations are tax deductible and we are happy to provide a letter to the effect for your tax purposes. If you would like to be added to our festival email database (we do not share your email), please send your email address to [email protected].

Thank you all, and see you at Summergrass 2021!

Roaring 20s Gala: Mobsters & Flappers

In 2019, we hosted the first Speakeasy Event here at the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum, and it was a huge success! We are going to host another event similar to it this year, but with a little more to offer our guests. We’ll have music, drinks, games, a sneak peek at a new exhibit, and food! This fundraiser is a lot of fun, not just for the Museum to host, but for our guests as well! Last year, so many people enjoyed the live band, drinks provided by Prohibition Brewing Company, and rides in some of our antique cars. We’re offering a glimpse into the past, come in costume and immerse yourself in an evening of fun!

Tonight we’d like to invite everyone to our parking lot to view the American flag that our incredible volunteers took the time to paint in our field. Our gates will be open at 6 pm and one of our generous neighbors platings Taps at 7:30 pm. We do ask that everyone park in our parking lot and stay in their cars to maintain social distancing regulations set by the state.

Would the museum like to take on the task of restoring either of these?
Cash and Carry Was a GOOD thing 🌴🇺🇸🌴
This was my ex husbands property until the mid 1970s it was then The Guajome Ranch and it was a working ranch until then! They raised cows for many years. It was a land grant for col Cave Counts the first and Isadore Bandini as a wedding present in 1825!
Many fun memories hope to make a trip back soon

DEAR FRIENDS, TECHNICAL MONUMENTS LOVERS . I,am Polish modeller, enthusiast of history, historic album author, local activist and plastic model kits collector. Please read text bellow and help- its only one click on Your keyboard. TOGETHER WE HAVE A CHANCE TO GIVE A NEW LIFE TO THE KŁODZKO CITY STEAM RAILWAY ENGINE HOUSE! THE WORKPLACE OF MANY OF US, OUR PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS, THE FORMER PRIDE OF MY TOWN, KŁODZKO POLAND, HAS A CHANCE TO BECOME THE HEADQUARTERS OF THE RAILWAY MUSEUM. All you have to do is follow the link and select my city, KŁODZKO GŁÓWNE in the plebiscite for the premises of the Railway Road Museum. DON'T FORGET TO CONFIRM YOUR CHOICE. ATTENTION!!! You can vote every day, even if you have already voted. One day you can cast votes separately, e.g. from a phone, laptop etc., if the devices have different IP addresses (e.g. by broadband from router and from mobile phone). This is what the organizer decided, so let's take advantage of it - vote many times, until November 11, when the competition ends. Let's show that we can win! This is the last chance to save this wonderful facility, let's vote for Kłodzko, save the engine house and leave a part of ourselves in the history of the this city. SHARE WHERE YOU CAN. THE MUSEUM WILL BE ANOTHER ATTRACTIVE OF OUR CITY ON AN INTERNATIONAL SCALE, IT IS ALSO NEW PLACES. Many thanks for help and i hope, see You in new museum. Friendly regards- Bartlomiej Terlecki. http://fundacjakpw.pl/plebiscyt/...
