A bit quiet on FB, but we have been creating during the pandemic, sharing our home-created crafts at weekly zoom meetings until our Weavers Barn and Spinners Cottage are open again! We have loved seeing clockwise from top left: Lorrie's felted purses (hope there is a class coming soon!), Marty's goose eye blanket, Elizabeth's krokbragd journey, Kathy's experiential quilts (& we got to tour her studio!), and Jill's adorable woven boxes. We hope to see you all in person soon!

Lovely show and share today! Eileen has MASTERED the art of block weave with a gorgeous rug! Our new member Nikki so impresses us with the crochet projects she is teaching her home school students - we want to sign up for her class! And Susan is channeling Holly Golightly with her knitted scarf from that yarn she cannot pass up. We only wish we had a young George Peppard by our side!

Happy Sunday! This week we're shining a light on a museum power couple. Christine and Ken Sheppard are assets to #agsem in more ways than one. From offsite events, to repairing antique equipment, weaving, fabricating things in the machine shop... they're always happy to volunteer and lend their combined infinite wisdom to visitors, staff, potential new volunteers and members alike. Next time you see them pick their brain, I'm sure you'll learn something new and exciting!

Loving these new HandwovenMagazine tips. This one's a keeper for those fabulous skeins you see on trips!

Of course, you could just go ahead and buy that pretty hand-dyed skein and hope for the best; but with a little math you might be able to actually use it as you envision.

Is anyone interested n hearing Florence Feldman Wood speak at the Palomar Guild's Fiber Fest in October? Not sure of time, but wondered if we would have an audience if we invited her. She is a spinner and a weaver and the driving force behind the 20+ year old publication "Spinning Wheel Sleuth". Please share and PM quickly if you are interested. TIA, thanks!
