Laura (Riding) Jackson and Robert Graves moved to a small town, Deiá, in Mallorca, Spain in 1929. They lived in the beautiful stone house named Ca n'Alluny (meaning The Faraway House) pictured here. During their time there, they wrote and also ran the Seizin Press. They had to leave in 1936 when the Spanish Civil War began.

Eventually, Graves would return in 1946 to live out his days in the house that is now a museum — much like our very own Laura (Riding) Jackson house here in Vero Beach! Laura's presence at the house in Deiá has been preserved in a room called "Laura's Study" and the printing press they used to publish books for the Seizin Press is also preserved there.
