A HUGE thank you to the people who gave to The Center for Memory and Movement last night. $150.00 was raised ( $7.50 processing fee). Thank you for your generosity. CMM offers 40+ free classes to the community, that work to build and maintain physical and cognitive abilities. In addition, it gives people a place for community and support. We invite you to come and walk with Team Shaken Not Stirred in November, at the Walk to Remember. Thank you.

September, October, and the first part of November the LoPresti Art Gallery will be putting 100% of the proceeds from LoPresti art work toward the Center for Memory and Movement.

Jerry Smietanka was born in Warsaw, Poland. After earning a degree in Business and Administration, he opened a silversmith studio and established a career in jewelry making. In 1987, he immigrated to New York and eventually relocated to Florida seven years later.

Upon moving to Florida, Jerry rediscovered his lifelong passion for painting. He joined the Gold Coast Watercolor Society in Ft Lauderdale, where he attended classes and workshops before beginning to exhibit his work in museums, galleries, and festivals. His impressionistic style, primarily using oil as a medium, is often inspired by his kayaking photos of Florida’s waterways.

His work has been featured in over 30 juried shows. Notably, following the fire at the Notre Dame Cathedral, Jerry’s watercolor was selected by Latin American digital media to be featured alongside works by Matisse, Picasso, and Van Gogh.

He currently resides in Vero Beach, where he paints in his studio and with the Treasure Coast Plein Air group. For more information, please visit his website. https://jerrysmietanka.jimdofree.com/.
