Now on display in our gallery, the works of Elizabeth Sevick Casselman.
Elizabeth Sevick Casselman is a multifaceted artist and educator with a passion for fostering creativity and technical skills in various mediums. She earned her Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University. Sevick Casselman's educational background also includes a bachelor's degree in studio arts from the University of Michigan – Flint. While pursuing her MFA at Kendall, she served as a graduate assistant, operating Gallery 602 in downtown Grand Rapids curating exhibitions, and collaborating with international artists. With over five years of teaching experience at the college level, Sevick Casselman has instructed courses such as Color and Design, 3D Design, Painting, and Art Appreciation. These roles have allowed her to impart her knowledge and passion for art to students, nurturing their creativity and technical proficiency. Additionally, Sevick Casselman has received two artist residencies through Site Studio, teaching mural painting to K-12 students at Cook Arts Center in Grand Rapids. Currently, Sevick Casselman serves as an instructor at both Mott Community College and St. Clair County Community College.

This exhibit will run Monday-Friday 9am-4:30pm until September 25. The gallery is located in the Visual Arts and Design Center, room VADC 128, on Mott's Main Campus and is free and open to the public. A special ART TALK is schedule for September 22 at 2pm.

This is your last week to see the amazing art on display by our incredibly talent students. The gallery will be open today, tomorrow (Wednesday), and Thursday from 9am-4:30pm. We will be closed on Friday in observation of the 4th of July. So do not miss your chance to view the hard work our students have put into this show.

The Mott Community College Fine Arts Gallery is located in the Visual Arts and Design Center on Mott's Main Campus. This exhibit is free to the public.

Stop by and see the amazing works by our talented students. 270 pieces of fantastic art by 70 students, spanning 3D/Sculpture, graphic design, painting, photography, and drawings.

The gallery is open this week Tuesday-Thursday from 9am-4:30pm and is free to the public. We will be closed this Friday in observation of Juneteenth but will resume normal hours next week.

Our galleries are filled with the works of our amazing students. This is just a small sample. Come check out the rest of the art in our annual Student Art Show. Over 250 works by 70 incredibly talented students.

The gallery is free, open Monday - Friday from 9am-4:30pm, and is located on Mott's main campus in the Visual Arts and Design Center.

Heads Up: If you are coming to the Student Art Show tonight, several of our parking lots are currently under construction. There is limited parking on the south side of the Visual Arts and Design Center building and Public Safety. The ramp on the north-east side of Curtice-Mott and the flat lot by Prahl and the Mott Library will probably be the easiest to park in. See you tonight!

Now on display in the Fine Arts Gallery: Re/Turning by Cynthia Greig

“Re/Turning,” explores the essential role ofseasonal immigrant labor in rural Midwestern America. Inspired by the rich colors, textures and distinct patterns of northern Michigan’s fertile terrain, my images invite a poetic dialogue between the shaping influence of its agricultural practices and the endurance of the human spirit.

The Fine Arts Gallery is open Monday-Friday from 9am - 4:30pm and free to the public. The gallery is located in the Visual Arts and Design Center on Mott's Main Campus.
