What is a concentric circle? These shapes may be different sizes, but share the same center, creating interesting arcs and patterns when combined! This week's Sparks Workshop is inspired by Wassily Kandinsky, a painter and art theorist that often made use of these shapes and compositions in his artwork.

Join us this Friday, September 25 from 10 – 11:30 a.m. to design concentric circle art of your own or try out other colorful, geometric creations in the art studio!

Special thanks to Tacoma Creates, whose support makes Sparks Workshops available for children and families at the Children’s Museum of Tacoma.

This program is supported, in part, by a grant from the Washington State Arts Commission.

We had a ball with Seattle Seahawks legend Jermaine Kearse! 🏈

Jermaine joined children at the Children’s Museum of Tacoma for some of our best plays, bringing plenty of energy, laughter, and Seahawks spirit to the Museum.

His visit was part of the Team of Champions, powered by Boeing in Washington, which is recognizing the Children’s Museum of Tacoma for the impact we make for children and families across our community. We’re honored to be celebrated alongside organizations making a difference, and we can’t wait to take the field for a special recognition during the Seahawks game on September 9!

Guess who stopped by to play at the Museum today? 🏈

Seattle Seahawks legend Jermaine Kearse made a special visit to the Children’s Museum of Tacoma as part of our recognition by Team of Champions, powered by Boeing!

We’re incredibly grateful to Boeing in Washington and the Seattle Seahawks for making this memorable visit possible and for celebrating the work we do for children and families in our community.

The celebration continues on September 9, when the Children’s Museum of Tacoma will be recognized by Team of Champions, powered by Boeing, at the Seahawks home opener!

Go Hawks! 💙💚
