We were delighted to welcome members of the Heritage League of Pierce County to Fort Nisqually Living History Museum for a special guided tour yesterday! Thank you for spending the afternoon with us exploring Fort Nisqually's history and ongoing preservation.

Calling all dessert lovers!

These are not your everyday sweets. At Dine we Must on June 26th from 6-9pm, our fabulous volunteers recreate a buffet of historic Victorian Era desserts using authentic historic methods and recipes, bringing flavors of the past to life in a way few people ever get to experience.

And, judging by the reactions from our staff and event attendees from past years, they're worth saving room for.

The evening begins with a professionally catered dinner featuring locally sourced ingredients, followed by these one-of-a-kind desserts, all enjoyed within the stunning atmosphere of the Fort.

Our lovely will be running the beer garden at the Point Defiance Park Flower & Garden Festival next Saturday and Sunday, June 6th and 7th! Proceeds go towards funding Fort Nisqually's operating expenses, including care of collections and education and interpretive programs, as well as capitol projects and special projects.
