On Saturday, July 20, members (and non-members!) of SDCAS attended a special tour of the Edgemoor Barn, home of the Santee Historical Society. We were treated to an informative presentation about the collections within the small museum (located on the lower level of the barn), and an outdoor tour of the rest of the grounds. The Barn is the oldest structure still standing in Santee, is on the National Register of Historic Places, and was once part of a dairy operation in the early 20th century. A nearby railroad spur used to transport dairy products into San Diego for distribution, and the original depot building was incorporated into an existing residence on Railroad Avenue. Join us for the next outing to the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum in Campo!
