Mitch Couasnon is a local San Diego artist who has been living & working in the Encinitas area for over 25 years. He is owner/operator of MC Design Group, a full service marketing agency that offers a complete line of services, from logo & concept design to every facet of advertising. Combining a refreshing mix of illustration, photography & the magic of Photoshop, these pieces are a true example
of 21st century art. Included in this new series are a number of nautical themes using the artist’s photos of historic tall ships combined with images from his travels and infusions of other related imagery such as old world navigation maps. A few samples are shown here. Other themes in the making are some fresh and exciting views of classic California imagery; Catalina Island, Balboa Park, as well as local Southern California mountain, desert, beach & street scenes. The final compositions are printed on high quality photo paper as well as on canvas, using UV inks, with a protective UV finish applied for additional protection. Paper prints are available as rolled prints, double-matted, double-matted & framed. Canvas pieces are available as rolled prints, mounted to board or mounted to board with a stylish black frame.
