PAUL MADONNA
We Came Here to See
October 16 – December 3, 2026

“North Beach Light” is among the new cityscapes in Paul Madonna’s first gallery exhibition in over ten years.

For twelve years, Madonna’s “All Over Coffee” helped define a visual language for San Francisco: intimate, philosophical, and deeply attuned to the life of the city. The cityscapes in “We Came Here to See” carry that language onto the gallery wall.

Richard Sheehan: Light Beneath is on view at Nelson Duni through October 1, open Friday and Saturday, 12 – 6 PM, at 35 Bartlett Street.

The exhibition brings together Sheehan's paintings from 1979 – 1995. Writing in San Francisco magazine this month, Michael McCarthy called it a welcome reintroduction to an artist whose vision continues to feel remarkably current.

Rachel Teagle in Conversation with Jeremy Stone

Gene Holtan (1930-2016) created a body of work which is a declaration of energy and life. Instructions for Arrival opens April 16, 2026. The works are a visual dance that invite reflection. In his final fifteen years, Holtan turned entirely to painting, leaving narrative for abstraction. The works from this period, presented here, reveal an artist liberated from constraint in an open channel.

This Gene Holtan exhibition will open on April 16, 2026 in the north gallery of Nelson Duni, alongside Jane Ivory’s A Language of Respect, also opening the same evening.
