I made this jug and bottle pair while in residency where I was fortunate to practice and make art on the stunning Mendocino Coast. The auction is this Thursday! We had such a fun opening for our Circus of Life show! It also happened to be so we really got in to the silly clown spirit! We thank everyone who participated and came to our opening!
We have been busy teaching Throwing on the wheel to adventurous visitors and locals. Now looking forward to more upgrades for the studio and our next show which will be inspired by sea life 🌊

X?X Gallery in San Francisco is looking for artists to participate in our show Circus of Life, which starts May 24, 2018. The show will consist of work celebrating clowns and circus life. We are interested in any 2D or 3D media (paintings, prints, ceramics, glass, metal, mixed media, sculpture, etc.). The gallery shows only local artists, so only work from artists in the greater San Francisco Bay Area will be considered. If you have work that you think would be a good fit for the show, you have two options:

1. Email us at [email protected] and send us a link to an on-line site where we can view photos of your work. Indicate no more than 4 specific pieces you think are a fit for the show and where to find them on the site. Be sure to include the title, medium, dimensions and suggested retail price for each piece, either in your note or on the site. (Sorry, we aren't going to sign up for some service in order to look at your pictures.)

2. Email us at [email protected] with no more than 4 images of your work in jpg format. Be sure to include the title, medium, dimensions and suggested retail price for each piece in your submission.

We will be looking at work for Circus of Life until about Monday, May 21st or until the show fills up. Contact us soon if you're interested in participating. Feel free to forward this on to other local artists if you like.

Whether you participate in the show or not, please join us on May 24th 6-9pm for the Opening Reception of Circus of Life. Light refreshments and a fun time will be provided. Anyone who comes dressed as a clown will receive a raffle ticket for a silly prize! We hope you can join us!
