Something you may not know about me: in addition to running 4Joy, I’m also a full-time art teacher! 🎨

During the school year, I have the privilege of teaching children the subject I love most—art and creative expression. But my classroom is about so much more than learning how to draw or paint.

I encourage my students to celebrate what makes them unique, express their own ideas, take creative risks, challenge themselves, and see mistakes as part of growing. Most importantly, I teach them to be kind, encourage one another, and support each other—because at the end of the day, we truly need one another.

I’m looking forward to another wonderful year of creativity, growth, and connection with my students. Wishing a happy and successful start to the school year to all the students, parents, teachers, and school staff out there! ❤️ Also, Wouldn’t my dress pattern to make a great paddle design? What do you think?

Meet the real team behind 4Joy. 🐾💗

Running a small business takes a lot of help—and thankfully, I have the very best assistants.

They supervise the packing. 📦
They sit on the paperwork.
They steal the office chair.
They nap through important meetings.
And somehow, they still expect to be paid in treats. 😂

I’m really not sure how I’d run 4Joy Paddles without my furry coworkers keeping me company through all the orders, emails, packing, designing, and everyday small-business craziness.

Who else has a four-legged “employee” helping them run their small business? I want to see your assistants! 🐶🐱👇

Maybe it’s time for something different! Everyone told me the pickleball paddle market was too crowded.

They weren’t wrong.

But I didn’t start 4Joy Paddles because the world needed just another generic paddle. I started it because I wanted to bring more JOY to the courts—gear that makes people smile, stands out, and is built to perform.

A little “welcome to 4Joy,” a little pickleball fun, a little serious paddle tech… all set to a song about being grateful to wake up today.

Does it all go together? Not really.
Am I grateful anyway? Absolutely.

Grateful for this little family-run business, grateful for everyone who supports us, and grateful I managed to get a post up today.
