Learn the basics of model railroading at SDMRM's adult intro to model railroading clinic!

This six week course will teach you the skills you need to start your own model railroad, as well as get your familiar with the materials.

The San Diego Model Railroad Museum will make the following changes to be able to welcome you during December Nights:

❄There will be no free Tuesday on 12/3. Please visit us for free on Friday and Saturday of December Nights
❄Friday, 12/6 we will be closed during the day, and OPEN at no cost from 5pm-9pm
❄Saturday, 12/7 we will be closed during the day, and OPEN at no cost from 5pm-9pm

Interested in the model railroading hobby, but not sure where to start? The San Diego Model Railroad Museum is here to help with our second round of adult clinics! This 6-part clinic will take you through the basics of building a model railroad. You’ll create your own 6’x8” HO Scale module, that will connect and run with the other participants’ modules.

Dates:

All classes are on Thursdays at 6pm, starting 1/16-2/20. You must commit to all 6 classes to participate

Participants must be 18 years or older.

This year, SDMRM is asking for your help upgrading our kitchen, the center of where we welcome guests and host events.

After 30+ years of dependable use, SDMRM is looking to raise $50,000 to purchase new kitchen appliances for event use, upgrade storage needs, and remodel the kitchen façade facing the Pacific Beach Room Gallery with a brand new look resembling a silver Santa Fe passenger car.

Improvement projects like this expand our capacity to engage the community well, and that includes enhancing spaces with how we serve you in mind.
