We are pleased to welcome to the Team, Alberto! With more than 30 years of experience as a multidisciplinary artist and art instructor, Alberto brings an expansive, exploratory approach to his work. Their artistic practice spans aerosol art, digital and traditional illustration, sculpture, videography, and a wide range of additional mediums and techniques.
Driven by curiosity and a desire to continually explore and support others, Alberto believes there are no limits to the ways creativity can be expressed. His practice is rooted in experimentation, play, and the freedom to discover new possibilities through different materials and artistic processes.
Alberto encourages participants to embrace that same spirit of exploration. Rather than focusing on a single medium or prescribed way of creating, he helps individuals experiment, develop their skills, and discover forms of expression that feel authentic to them.

Have a story to tell through clay? We’d love to hear from you. 💙

Applications are now open for Session 2 (October) of INCLAYSIVE, a visiting artist share-out hosted by REVISION.

We’re looking for ceramic artists, sculptors, potters, and makers whose creative practice is shaped by lived experience, curiosity, community, or care. This isn’t about having the “perfect” artist statement or an impressive exhibition history. It’s about sharing your perspective and connecting with others through making.

Whether your work explores disability, neurodivergence, belonging, or simply the joy of creating with clay, we encourage you to apply.

✨ Session held in October
✨ In person in La Mesa, CA
✨ $200 honorarium
✨ Artists with lived experience, connections, or affinity with the disabled and neurodivergent community are especially encouraged to apply.

📅 Applications close August 31.

Are you or a family member a client of the San Diego Regional Center (SDRC)? Have you been wanting to explore ceramics, but prefer a specialized creative arts program to a community college or studio course?

Offered by the Regional Center in partnership with Revision, the Inclaysive 6-week intensive lets you try out handbuilding techniques in a disability affirming space with a small class size (4 to 8).

Program details:
✨ 6 weeks long
✨ Wednesdays, 10 AM to 1 PM
✨ September 9, 16, 23, 30, October 7, 21
✨ Revision La Mesa, 8691 La Mesa Blvd

Learn handbuilding techniques like:
✨ Pinch Pots
✨ Coil Building
✨ Slab Building
✨ Sculpture

The intensive is free to clients of the San Diego Regional Center, using vendor code PY2826 – Creative Arts Program! To get started, talk to your Service Coordinator and email [email protected] for more details.

Artist Elijah Rubottom joined forces with Revision this summer through a seasonal Residency, as a Guest Creative Mentor. He’s shared his experiences with clay and cyanotype printing while at the studio. As a TRACE teacher year round, we are happy to have fellow advocates who merge art and advocacy in their practice, as living inspiration to the studio artists.
In the spirit of Revision, Elijah made three bicycle-wheel style acetate and acrylic paint pieces to layer like stained glass, using donated materials. They have breezeblock-like patterns on them, symbols widely used in his personal practice. Thanks for being here, Elijah!
