SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS — Lone Star Gallery is pleased to present Tierra de Colores, an exhibition featuring San Antonio artists Regina Moya and Lucía Zambrano Kaluza. The exhibition brings together two distinctive artistic voices inspired by Mexican culture, nature, color, storytelling, and imagination.

Regina Moya is a San Antonio writer, artist, and muralist whose work draws from Mexican folk art, storytelling, and the natural world. Through colorful murals and sculptural installations, she combines tradition and contemporary expression. Her recent installation, Jardín de las Catrinas at the San Antonio Botanical Gardens, celebrates the beauty and spirit of Mexican culture.
Lucía Zambrano Kaluza’s paintings are rooted in her connection to her Mexican heritage and her fascination with color, nature, and fantasy. Influenced by magical realism, her work brings together hummingbirds, butterflies, flowers, hearts, and cultural symbols to create imaginative worlds filled with life and emotion.
Together, Moya and Zambrano Kaluza explore the richness of Mexican heritage through vibrant color, symbolism, and personal storytelling. Tierra de Colores invites viewers to experience the artists’ unique perspectives while celebrating culture, memory, imagination, and connection.

— Dock Space Gallery is pleased to present I Guess, We Can Start Here, a solo exhibition by San Antonio-born Chicana multidisciplinary artist Uri Whitehead. 

This exhibition is a deeply personal collection inspired by memories, conversations, feelings, and moments that have remained with Whitehead over time. Some memories are humorous, some uncomfortable, and others are rooted in experiences she is still working to understand.
Rather than presenting a single, straightforward narrative, the exhibition reflects the complexity of personal experience and the many things that contribute to who we become—including childhood memories, family, culture, relationships, responsibilities, emotions, humor, and the things left unsaid.

We are excited to announce that Artist in Pinhole and Paintings From Life will continue on view at Dock Space Gallery and Lone Star Gallery, with a special opening reception on July 11, 2026.

TONIGHT!

The original opening reception was June 13, 2026, as part of Second Saturday. Due to the scheduling conflict with the Spurs game that evening, we decided to extend the exhibition and celebrate the artists with a new opening reception in July—allowing more time for the work to be experienced and appreciated by our community.

wORldScapes & I´ceScapes — Recent Works by

April 11-30, 2026
San Antonio, TX — Dock Space/Lone Star Galleries are pleased to announce an upcoming exhibition by internationally acclaimed Icelandic artist and architect Guðjón Bjarnason (Gudjon). Opening April 11, 2026, the show will feature a comprehensive selection of his multidisciplinary work, including large-scale hand-painted prints, photographic series, sculptural installations, video, films, and four artist books.
Gudjon’s exhibition will unfold across both gallery spaces, encompassing approximately 124 linear feet. The presentation will include works from his recent wORldScapes series, alongside works from the ongoing I’ceScapes series. Additional photographic works will complement these series, creating a layered visual dialogue between landscape and abstraction, culture and perception.
Expanding beyond two-dimensional media, the exhibition will feature examples of Gudjon’s signature “exploded” steel sculptures, installed both indoors and outdoors. These works reflect the artist’s investigation into structure, fragmentation, language, art history, and spatial dynamics—bridging his dual practice as both architect and visual artist.
A selection of Gudjon’s newly assembled artist books—spanning painting, sculpture, photography, and architecture—will be on display, alongside multiple film works. The latter include two documentaries, one set in Iceland (52 minutes) and other in the US (8 minutes), as well as an art video and a 6-minute video related to Gudjon’s appearance in the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2021.
Both exhibits are curated in collaboration with New York-based international art critic Richard Vine, who wrote introductions for two of the books.
