“Hi, y’all. I’m an Albert + Caroline + Seferino Gonzales collector & friend who’s hosting a GIFT CARD BABY SHOWER in support of the Gonzales family as they prepare to welcome their little one! Free and open to the public!

WHEN: Saturday, November 9, 6:00-9:00 pm
WHERE: Southtown Art Gallery, 1913 S. Flores St. #9 ()
WHAT TO BRING: A gift card of any value (can be anonymous) for H-E-B or TARGET

We’ll have:

It's happening again! Are you an artist in the San Antonio area, do you like discussing art and open to constructive criticism to help you learn and grow as an artist?
Join us for our Art Critique Nights.
Our next one is September 25th and starts at 7pm so plan on arriving early for setup. If you haven't been a part of a Critique we recommend do a little research to educate yourself a little more on what to expect and before starting I we will give a quick run down on what we do.

This Saturday our son will be having his very first Solo exhibition titled "Leaving Bacteria" at the opening will be from
6:30pm to 10pm.

Seferino has been with us in the studio ever since he was born. From working hard on producing work, to meetings, and studio visits with collectors, he has seen it all at 3 years of age. When we were planning out our shows, he was very vocal about wanting to have his own show too. We talked about the work that goes into preparing for a show and for 6 months we saw this him take his work to a whole new level. We planned trips to the zoo, park, and museums just for him to tell us over breakfast that he would rather work on paintings in the studio. Seferino was making his own little sacrifices to produce work. Even though it wasn't necessary it made us proud knowing he was that dedicated to do what he loves. What I'm trying to tell you is, come check out the artwork our son has been working on for the past 6 months. His dad and mom would really appreciate it, but I know it would truly mean the world to him for you all to experience his work in person.

Come on out tonight from 6:30 until 10:30 for Second Saturday, and the opening of solo exhibition "FLESH," BY Julia Kidd. Julia is an artist based out of Houston, Texas. A graduate from Rice University, Julia now attends the University of Houston where she is pursuing her masters degree in painting and drawing. Join us as Julia takes us on a intimate journey through their subject, as your eyes will be moved through their close cropped and deceptive compositions.

A little about the artist:
Symone Martinez is a self-taught illustrator based in San Antonio, Texas. A wife, and mother of two kids. She is known for her graphic topo chico illustrations, and her larger bodies of work including her series of mandalas.

"My designs attempt to depict the divine feminine. This series of drawings was a way of embracing my feminine aspects." -excerpt from her artist statement for this exhibtion
