Join us next Wednesday April 15 for our monthly in-person general meeting. Hosted by new member and recently renovated Florida Holocaust Museum The Florida Holocaust Museum
Derek Kilborn from the city will be with us to discuss recent restructuring of city departments, best practices for navigating permits, historic preservation, and so much more. We also will have a representative from the greenhouse to share resources for businesses that are available from the city and the Chamber of Commerce.
As always we will have an update from the police department, networking opportunities, door prizes and more.
**Please note there is a clear bag policy at the FHM. No non-clear bags are permitted inside, there are limited lockers available on site if needed **

We dropped off a bunch of race kits to our member businesses today that had FREE race tickets for Friday and information pamphlets about the race including schedules. More will be dropped off tomorrow. Message us or comment here with your business if you want a kit.

Congratulations to our newly elected officers! Thank you council woman Gina Driscoll for inducting our officers to their 2026 elected positions. This morning's meeting at our member business Shumaker had a fantastic turnout. Thank you to the out going board and out going president Tami Simms. David Delrahim steps into the Presidentā€™s role.

Catherine Binger continues as Treasurer.

Get to know the team:

David Delrahim - President
I joined the DBA in 2012 and have been on the board since 2014.
Iā€™m originally from Deerfield, IL, a NW suburb of Chicago. I moved to the St. Pete area in 2005 to go to law school at Stetson.
I love the DBAā€™s altruistic goal of bringing business to our local downtown businesses and improving our downtown for locals and visitors.

Tony Loeffler - Vice President
I joined the DBA in 2023, added to the board in 2024 and Iā€™m proud to serve as the new veep for 2026.
Originally from Baltimore, Md, my husband Michael and I moved to St Pete in 2018 from Portland, Oregon.
I love the diversity and cultural and creative vibe of St Pete. Plus the business community here is unlike many other cities our size and itā€™s such an honor to be a small part of it.

Catherine Binger - Treasurer
I have been with the DBA for 9 years on the board and Treasurer for 9 years as well.
Originally I am from Olean, New York and I have loved living in St Pete for many years.
Whether itā€™s grabbing a coffee on Central or wandering through the murals, St. Pete always feels like an adventure.

Shelli Hemans - Secretary
Iā€™ve been involved with the DBA for 10 years, joined the board two years in, then secretary the following year and every year since.
I was born & raised in Tampa.
In my spare time I make hand crafted jewelry for fun. I also live near the beach and love everything about the water, sunsets and margaritas! Iā€™m a wanna-be chef, a pretty good photographer and am writing a memoir

The team is excited to get going and is looking forward to A new year full of exciting opportunities.
